SkinSync® is a patented dermal patch technology based on dissolving nanofibrous mats. This unique dissolution behaviour leads to the release of more than 95% of the active ingredient, in stark contrast with traditional patches where 50-95% of the active payload remains in the patch after use and gets discarded with the used patch.

This exceptional release efficiency is the results of the very open micro- structure obtained by electro-spinning. This “cotton candy” like structure allows for an efficient three-dimensional dissolution throughout the patch in stark contrast with more traditional patch technologies who rely on two-dimensional dissolution to liberate the ingredients from the patch.

The encapsulation of the ingredients inside the polymeric fibres protects them from degradation and oxidation during manufacturing and storage.

The formulation can be adjusted to control the dissolution and release over a 72h period.
